O-10: The Effects of Different Transplantation Sites on Follicular Surviving and Apoptosis Incidenceof Intact Whole Rat Ovaries after Autotransplantation
Background: Limited and fixed number of ovarian follicles undergo reducing changes from birth till menopause. In cancerous patients who exposed to sterilizing treatments such as chemotherapy, follicle decrease is faster and dominant. Main fertility preservation technique for these patients is ovarian cryopreservation and transplantation. Reanastomosis between recipient site and invader tissue i...

Background: The present study was designed to evaluate the homing potential of mouse embryonic stem cells (ESC) treated with erythropoietin (EPO) in hematopoietic organs such as spleen and liver after transplantation using morphological and immuno-histochemical techniques. Methods: Day-four embryoid body (EB)-derived cells were dissociated and re-plated in medium in the presence and absence of ...

Background: Our aim was to evaluate the recovery rate of ovarian function and the activity of hypothalamus-hypophiseal- gonadal axis following transplantation of vitrified ovaries. Materials and Methods: Five weeks-old female Wistar Rats were distributed randomly in two experimental groups; Fresh Transplanted, Vitrified-Transplanted and 8 weeks-old female Wistar rats were considered as control ...
متن کاملO-1: Effects of Recipient Mouse Strain, Sex and Gonadal Status on the Outcome of TestisTissue Xenografting
Background: The aim of the present study was to examine factors that may affect the outcome of testis tissue xenografting. Recipient factors were examined by grafting small fragments of testis tissue from newborn piglets under the back skin of immunodeficient mice of different strains [severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) vs. nude), sex (male vs. female) and gonadal status (intact vs. gonade...
متن کاملNeutralization of mouse interleukin-17 bioactivity inhibits corneal allograft rejection
PURPOSE To investigate the inhibitory effects of anti-mouse interleukin-17 (IL-17) monoclonal antibody (mAb) in high-responder corneal allograft rejection. METHODS C57BL/6 or BALB/c mice corneal grafts were grafted onto BALB/c hosts. The neutralizing mouse IL-17 antibody and isotype control were injected intraperitoneally immediately after transplantation for experimental treatment. At approp...
